ASOS Wish List: New Season Inspiration

Welcome to another episode of: ‘how much more animal print does Ffion really need?’

Yes, you guessed it. Another ASOS wish list; another list of things I want but definitely should try to restrain from buying and as per usual, a whole lot of animal print. So let’s keep this short and sweet.

It is that time of the year where spring is ‘apparently’ upon us and summer is closing in not too far behind – and I emphasise apparently seeing as it snowed for a little bit back at home today and so, I most certainly beg to differ. However, as usual, ASOS is killing it with its new season vibes and of course, my list of saved items is full to the brim.

You know the drill, all items will be linked but…SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I have collated and categorised all of my saved items into some different trends and style inspiration for the forthcoming warmer months.

Gosh, get me, changing it up for once.

So enjoy, leave your comments (I do love reading them) and here goes…

Holiday Planning:

Already booked your summer holiday this year? Whether you are jetting off across further seas or just heading for a quick city break, you are bound to have started creating your own mental wish list for your holiday looks. I know I already am.

Well the first thing you can expect this summer is clearly tonal colours; the perfect warm palette for summer evenings. From dark brows and deep reds to nudes and blush. It all just screams tropical sunsets and Mediterranean hues. Accessorises with gold jewellery, shells and knitted/yarn beach bags for the ideal ‘I’ve just gone and found myself after a year in Thailand’ look… Just kidding. You’ll be a total beach babe.

The trend of 2019 is something that continuously keeps sneaking into my wish lists. From boiler suits to kick flare jeans, the utility train does not seem to be going anywhere soon.

With a combination of natural tones, khaki’s and denim, this utilitarian look is ideal for both the colder and warmer months. For daytime looks, it wins every time and makes for the perfect summer urban street style. Go for a pair of classic converse or invest in some oh so extra chunky trainers; you will be looking all kinds of cool wherever you go.

Spring Chic:

Who would of thought that ‘milkmaid’ chic would be gracing our stores this year? Not me that’s for sure. More importantly, I did not expect myself to be loving it so damn much. Well pack me up and send me to the farm, because I am ready and I am totally on board with this latest spring trend.

Not only is it effortlessly fabulous, it is such a classy look. Linen blouses, corsets, midi dresses and of course, a whole load of creams, whites and reds. You will look like a spring dream walking round in any of these items. Whether paired with some jeans, ‘grunged up’ with some boots or accessorised with a beaded bag, you can easily attain that Heidi-esque style that everyone is loving so much right now.

On the Brightside:

Considering the amount of neon clothing that is around at the moment, it is no surprise that I have added some bold and bright items to my wish list. It’s all disco, rave and dance – even if you are just popping to town for a newspaper.

Holographic bags, hyper-animal prints and neon accessories make the perfect ensembles to look effortlessly fabulous this season. There is nothing like adding some bolder colours to your wardrobe to kickstart a new season; and these dark and royal blues, fuchsia pinks, turquoise, lilacs and bright purple palettes are ideal to compensate for any dislike you may have towards highlighter yellow. I mean Zara, c’mon, that’s enough already.
